We are pleased to announce that THCC has played our first competitive women's softball cricket fixture in the club's history!
The Tigresses have entered the Sussex Cricket Foundation (SCF) Women's Soft Ball League for the 2025 Season, in a group with Edenbridge CC, Ifield CC and Crawley Eagles CC. The inaugural game, away to the Edenbridge Fizzers, was held on 7th May. It was always destined to be a tough game against an established team like Edenbridge that have played competitive softball cricket for several seasons. Edenbridge are also in a transitional year, with several of their players moving on to play competitive hardball cricket. As such, the Tigresses came up against a well drilled team with a good balance between experienced and inexperienced players. Despite a valiant effort, the Tigresses sadly succumbed to the Fizzers, losing by 77 runs (TH: 69/6, Net Score: 239; Edenbridge: 121/1, Net Score: 316). Despite limited training time, the Tigresses bowled extremely well, and batted with courage! A huge congratulations to all those involved, and onwards to the next game against Ifield on 19th May.
